Two capsules contain 480 milligrams of betaine HCl; 480 milligrams of L-glutamic acid; 150 milligrams of pancreatin; 80 milligrams of ox bile; and 70 milligrams of pepsin.
Pancreatin are digestive enzymes, of porcine origin, which are natural substances needed by the body to help break down and digest food; it helps out when the pancreas cannot make or does not release enough digestive enzymes to digest food.
Pepsin is also of porcine origin and is a stomach enzyme that serves to digest proteins found in ingested food.
Ox bile is of bovine origin and is also used in the process of digestion.
Glutamic acid is an amino acid the body uses to form proteins; it may help people with hypochlorhydria (low stomach acid) or achlorhydria (no stomach acid).
